Electrofusion Welder Hire.

ACU-TECH has electrofusion welding machines for hire. Electrofusion, or EF welders, are used to weld Electrofusion fittings to PE pipe.

Electrofusion welder rental is a cost-effective way to get the job done, without having to invest in machinery up front. EF welders can be hired at a daily rate for between 24 hours to a few months, depending on your requirements.

You can hire an electrofusion welder if you need to join HDPE pipe with electrofusion fittings. The EF welder will need a normal power source, either from mains power or from a generator. Usually, you will need an extension cord if you hire an EF welder, as the electricity cord is usually only 2-3 metres long. Electrofusion welders are robust, but should be kept out of mud, rain, loose sand and dust.

Ensure you specify what you will need the EF welder for, as there are different types of welders for pressure pipe as opposed to thinner wall drainage pipe. Our rental team is highly experienced and will be able to advise which Electrofusion welding machine will best perform the task.

New equipment is available for sale if you prefer to invest in equipment up front. See this page for EF pressure welders or See this page for EF drainage welders.

PE Extrusion Gun Hire.

ACU-TECH provides PE extrusion guns for hire. Hot air welders are also available for hire. Extrusion gun rental is a cost-effective way to get the job done, without having to invest in machinery up front.

Do you have a hole in your poly tank, or perhaps you want to install a new outlet? Using an extrusion welding gun, you can simply do-it-yourself, at little cost. The welding wire is pulled through the extrusion gun and heated up, then pressed into place with the tip of the gun. The heat from the gun also warms the surrounding plastic, so a strong bond is formed between the two plastics.

Using a hot air welder, the material is simply fed by hand onto the area, which is being warmed by the hot air gun, where it melts and bonds to the surface. A hot air poly welder is highly useful for plugging holes or filling cracks or cuts in poly tanks, PE pipes or poly troughs.

Pipeline Installation Equipment Hire.

ACU-TECH now hires equipment for pipeline installation, including coil trailers and excavators. When installing pipelines, a contractor often needs to dig trenches or holes, and having access to a portable excavator can help you to get the job done faster and with less effort.

ACU-TECH provides excavator hire in Perth for our valued customers, as part of our commitment to being a one-stop-shop. By giving the PE pipe installer access to hire excavators and generators, hire electrofusion welders and butt welders, and hire coil trailers or coil holders, they can reduce the amount of investment required to expand their business operations. This in turn allows them to reduce costs and increase profits, and spend less time working on each job.

By using ACU-TECH ’s hire equipment, it reduces the amount of bills and admin work that has to be attended to, lightening the load on your staff. Please note that due to insurance reasons, hire equipment is only available to customers who have a credit account with ACU-TECH.

Welder Service.

ACU-TECH’s equipment department can service your electrofusion welder, butt welder or extrusion welder, and also a range of hand tools, such as rotational scrapers and welding clamps. All major branded PE welding equipment can be repaired or calibrated in Western Australia.

Our experienced team can arrange consumables or spare parts from various manufacturers, either locally or from overseas suppliers, to get you welding again as soon as possible! ACU-TECH Piping Systems provides repair and calibration service for poly welding machines, including Calder poly welding machines, Hurner EF welders, Fusion PE welders, Dixon butt welders, McElroy butt welders, Worldpoly butt welding machines, Gator butt fusion welders, Technodue butt welders, Ritmo electrofusion and butt welders, Huerner electrofusion welders, and some other brands.

Because PE welding equipment is often used in the sand and dirt, outdoors and in hot and humid weather, it can be prone to failures. However the fault could be as small as a blown fuse, or as damaging as a burnt out switchboard. ACU-TECH is able to procure spare parts from overseas suppliers, but sometimes the cost of a part can be more than the cost of a new welder! ACU-TECH’s welder service department will first assess the damage, and communicate to you the likely cost of repairs before proceeding to order parts or begin with the repair work.
